Two Korean stars arrived in HongKong to promote their new movie, “Me and My Girlfriend.” The premiere was held at APM Mall. Hong Kong celebrities such as Tavia Yeung, Akina Hong and Rain Li showed up for the event. Tavia says that she has not been attending premieres for two years. She attended this event with her colleagues from TVB just so that she can meet her idol Song Hye Kyo. Ever since Tavia watched “Autumn Fairy Tale,” she began to like Song Hye Kyo. She jokes and says that she was crying while she watched that drama, and she admires how Song Hye Kyo can cry so naturally. She enjoys watching this cute Korean star act. Tavia expressed that she thinks Song Hye Kyo is very beautiful and that she would love to give her a hug if she meets her. However, she was disappointed that the meet-and-greet with the star was cancelled.

To promote TVB’s artists, it knows no limits with its budget. Aside from printing personal information pamphlets for each artist to distribute to sponsors and media outlets, TVB has recently shot cover pictures for its red pockets starring eight of its rising stars. The concept is simple- TVB hopes that these eight artists will, similar to the red pockets themselves, bring good fortune to the company.

To welcome the upcoming Chinese New Year, TVB spent lots of money to print a set of lucky red pockets featuring Ron Ng, Myolie Wu, Raymond Lam, Tavia Yeung, Shirley Yeung, Bernice Liu, Kenneth Ma and Bosco Wong.

One of the eight lucky stars, Tavia Yeung, was very happy to be chosen to be part of this special promotion. She says, “I’ve never seen myself on a red pocket before, so I’m really happy! I hope I will get a lot of good lucky from this. I also hope that it will not only bring good fortunes to TVB and my future dramas, but to the people who saw my face on these envelops, so they will remember to give me some red pocket money too!”

TVB distributed its Chinese New Year cards yesterday, which included all of the artists under its management contract. Striving to be Hong Kong’s largest entertainment management company, TVB worked hard to expand its number of artists last year and its power has been increasing since then.
